Even though there has been snow days here in Calgary, I still consider November an autumn month, and therefore still subject to a fall wardrobe. This is the second post for fall essentials (click here if you missed part 1). My sister, Hannah, shows us what her fall essentials are.
We have different fashion perspectives which can be seen with her choice of outfit. She has stuck with classic fall pieces: a Mackage leather jacket over a grey Lululemon t-shirt. She has paired it with Citizens of Humanity distressed jeans and wears a large scarf from Aritzia to keep warm. Her Nike Roshes keep the outfit casual and wearable for everything the day brings.
Fall outfits can be tricky to put together, especially with unpredictable weather like we have in Calgary. Investing in a quality leather jacket is a great solution because it is still light but can be layered with sweaters if need be. Also carrying a scarf with you is a great idea if the weather turns or the wind picks up.
“Heading to classes at 8am in 0 degree weather is a lot different than heading home in +10 degrees in the afternoon. My fall essentials suit the change in weather that Calgary has. The blanket scarf is the perfect accessory to head to school in, it even keeps my hands warm. A leather jacket is a classic piece all year round but especially to layer with, again because of the variation in weather throughout the day. Sneakers go with every outfit and make a statement while still being comfy for walking across campus.” – Hannah Antony
