I have walked past this place almost daily, as it is in the hallway between the Core and Banker’s Hall. It looked so healthy, fresh, and something I just had to try. Today was the chosen day, as the new girl in my office was willing to try it with me. We entered a dangerous territory of addiction to Dirtbelly’s menu, I can see us making weekly visits to this lovely salad and juice bar. I had the Baco – half bread half taco heaven. They had a few options, but I chose the falafel filling, which was such a good choice. I don’t really know what sauce was in it, but I do know that it was deliciously satisfying. Served warm, the bread is soft and chewy which goes well with the filling inside. It was a little messy to eat, but completely doable with a couple extra napkins.
To drink we tried the tealada, which is “tea + fruit + herbs + brew” and is currently my new favourite drink. I had the blueberry mint flavor, and they have two others: raspberry cardamom, and pear anise. It was fresh and cold, and the combination of blueberry and mint was amazing. I think the flavours are seasonal, so I can’t wait to see what the fall season will bring. Pumpkin spice maybe?
