It is nice to find a good breakfast place that isn’t downtown. Brok’n Yolk just opened up a few weeks ago in Creekside which may seem like out in the no-where lands of suburbia but it is within walking distance of my parents house. We were skeptical on how they were going to survive so far away from the inner city but when we got there at 9:30 on Saturday morning it was a half hour wait, so they are doing okay. After we got a taste of what they were serving up, it was easy to see why the place was packed.

Of course I had to try their benedict out, I had the Bacon Benny which was house cured bacon, with sauteed kale, tomato, and roasted garlic hollandaise. What was unique about their benny was that it was on top of a homemade Belgian waffle instead of the classic English muffin, and it came with a side of roasted potatoes. All of that goodness with an almond (!) latte, was a great way to start the day. It is a cute little place that you should definitely try out this weekend!
