Vendome is a classic brunch spot to hit up in Kensington. I remember going there as a kid and playing with the toys in the store that used to be next door. They only recently re-opened after a few months-long renovation, but it is still the cute, hipster brunch place that I know and love. It’s perfect because you can grab just a latte and pastry if you are looking for a quick date or have full on brunch if you have the time to sit (they also have a patio which is lovely in the summer). They also have lunch and dinner foods, if you come past brunch time.
First up latte, followed by a lovely classic eggs benedict with a side of roasted potato wedges. The benny is served on a piece of toast, as opposed to an English muffin which makes it a bit lighter (and gives you more room to eat all the fries). It really was a great start to the day, I love the atmosphere of Vendome – it’s cozy and warm, and is a great place to catch up with friends.
