Mojitos are my absolute favourite cocktail; that is the first thing I look for on a drink menu anywhere I am. The best one that I have had is the Earl’s Pomegranate Mojito, which unfortunately they don’t make any more (I would be down for starting a petition). However, I have now found my new favorite mojito combination, Lauren Kelp’s Grapefruit Mint. It took about 30 seconds to make and 10 seconds to drink, it is soo good. Plus if you don’t feel like the alcohol in it, the grapefrui/mint combo with soda water is so refreshing, I had some with breakfast the next morning. Also check out the rest of Lauren Kelp’s blog, you will fall in love with it.

Grapefruit Mint Mojito

2 sprigs fresh mint leaves (about 8 leaves)
2 oz rum
2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
1/2 oz lime juice
1 oz club soda
Grapefruit wedge or wheel for garnish

  1. Place 1/2 of the mint leaves in your glass and muddle gently.
  2. Stir together the rum, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and ice until the drink has chilled.
  3. Top with a splash of club soda.
  4. Garnish with fresh mint sprig and grapefruit wedge or wheel.
