Stylish artillery for the everyday.
What a great outlook for leather handbags.
One Fated Knight was founded in Vancouver in 2012 by Jennifer Yau, an experienced fashionista with the vision to create timeless leather handbags. What I love about her line is she used recycled leather; material that would have been thrown out otherwise. This gives each piece a little character and charm, with durable and functional qualities while doing good for the environment.
I was lucky enough to be invited to OFK’s trunk show hosted by Vanity Vault on 4th Street in Calgary. It is part of 4th Street’s 30 Days of Blogs event that showcases to promote and support local businesses – just in time for the holidays. I had never been to The Vanity Vault before, but now that I have seen it, I will definitely be booking an appointment to go back. The space was a beautiful combination of modern grey, sparkly lights, and a vintage feel. If you have never been, you really need to go check it out (they do everything, nails, tans, eyebrows, etc. etc.).
I was greeted at the door with a class of wine and a little bag of snacks and future coupons. And I was welcomed to look around at the One Fated Knight table as well as the other tables set up selling products like Coutu Kitsch jewelry, Coal & Canary candles, Luxe Gloss, Sara Happ lip scrubs and lip crayons, and Juice Because. I know I keep saying it, but it was a really pretty event. The girls that organized, set-up, and hosted were all lovely, and made the experience great for everyone. Vanity Vault offered free manicures and eyebrows for anyone interested, and OFK had a draw to win a clutch.
Jen’s pieces were just as beautiful as I expected them to be, after spending all day at work going through the look book. She had all sorts of bags; clutches, small purses, large purses, lap top bags – just all the bags. Her enthusiasm for her brand was very apparent, giving the products that extra bit of personality – when you can see the love and passion that goes into a creative process, it makes the brand shine a little brighter. In Calgary, you can find her bags at Plenty in Chinook.
