I have been on a serious popcorn kick lately. I used to never make my own at home unless it was just salted so this new world of sugar and chocolate on my popcorn is just mind blowing. I came across this recipe for amazing cute Valentine’s Day popcorn on Pinterest and it was so addictingly delicious. My whole family chowed down on it and the bowl was empty within 15 minutes!

It would be really cute as a goody bag for a Valentine’s Day party or the snack for your stay-in-movie romantic evening. Or you can just eat the whole damn thing by yourself without any man there to help.

The recipe is from Gimme Some Oven, and it is too simple to be able to say I adapted it from her blog. But as long as you have some white chocolate, popcorn, and sprinkles you’re good to go. Its totally up to you but I recommend buying the healthiest popcorn you can if you are not air popping it. No butter, added salt or anything. You are putting chocolate and sprinkles on it so at least save yourself a few extra calories.

  1. Pop the popcorn and place it in a large bowl.
  2. Melt the chocolate in the microwave and pour over the popcorn.
  3. Use a spoon to gently toss the popcorn until it is evenly coated with the chocolate.
  4. Spread the popcorn out evenly on a baking sheet covered with parchment or wax paper.
  5. Sprinkle evenly with salt, then sprinkle the heart sprinkles over the popcorn.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened. Break up into small pieces then serve or store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

  1. I love popcorn. Here in Japan, they have such fun flavors! I tried curry popcorn here, and now I’m hooked. This is super cute for Valentine’s Day. I’ll definitely be trying this recipe.
