Graphic tees are making a massive comeback and I love them. Why over-used pop culture references make an appealing shirt I have no idea but I love them. Case in point is this amazing crew neck from Brunette the Label; so simple, yet costs $80 but is completely worth it.
The play on Beyoncé lyrics is amazing simply because Beyoncé herself is amazing. For me it’s a reminder that (unless you are Beyoncé herself) you can’t just wake up and be at that level. It takes work, dedication and time to achieve your goals and dreams. I don’t even think that’s what this sweater is supposed to imply – it could simply mean we have to put on a lot of makeup and hair products to look like this, but there’s no reason to not go a bit deeper.
I often admire girls that look like they “got their shit together” and look fantastic after doing so. It’s easy to judge people by what they look like at that moment and not know what the back story is. Most things take a lot of work: overcoming obstacles, beating the odds, and ignoring the haters. And we can forget that amid our jealousy of someone else’s success.
Channel your inner Beyoncé and crush your goals and prove your haters wrong. I recently got an internship at a company that I have always dreamed of being a part of, and headed down a career path that I thought I couldn’t get on at this point in my life. Sometimes things just work out, but most of the time you have to stick to what you want and probably take a few steps backwards and sideways before heading forward.
