August is a love/hate month for me. It’s that time of summer when the school supplies start hitting stores and the sun is taking just a tad bit longer to wake up – all reminders that autumn is around the corner. BUT there is still a whole month of summer left to enjoy which I forget about sometimes – just enough weekends to do all the fun summer things that you said you would do in July but never got around to it. I am super proud of myself this summer, I floated down the Bow river for the first time which I have been planning on doing every summer for the last 7 years…check that off the list finally. We did the Canmore to Banff bike ride, AND we made it down to Waterton to camp and hike which was a long time plan as well. Sometimes you just have to mark it off in your calendar and cross your fingers the weather works out.
Not that I wore this dress rafting or camping, but it’s the perfect summer dress to enjoy all other non-active activities like patio drinks, picnics, and brunch (or the beach if you don’t live in a land-locked city). It’s just so flowy and summery looking, I basically wear it every single day. They have a couple colours, but I really liked the pink in this one (obviously).
I wore it casually, but it could easily be worn to work with a blazer and flats or a night out with fancier heels, a little bit of bling and a long trench coat.
