We took a little vacay last weekend over to Victoria, BC. It is a gorgeous city, and of course being on the ocean always helps. If I lived on the coast my wardrobe (and this fashion blog) would be totally different, much more bohemian and laid back, flowy dresses and sunnies. So when I was out there I pretended like I was a YYJ blogger for the day and did the shoot at the beach. I love all the washed up wood and logs that litter the beach, it gives it a little more character than just plain sand.
The look was inspired by the ocean (obvs); I chose my favourite flowy dress and used it as a cover up to a black body suit, paired with these amazingly comfortable Sanuk sandals. The look is super versatile, even without changing I can hang out at the beach or wear it in real life for a brunch date. The gorgeous dress is from Billabong and I got it at Nordstrom, and the sandals, like I mentioned are from Sanuk ( have you tried their sandals?! They are made with yoga mat material to keep your feet super comfy).
Even if you’re not by the ocean (#sadface) this outfit is still great for any occasion. The dress can be worn as a dress without the body suit underneath and the sandals…well I’m obsessed and wear them with every single outfit.
