Now that we are out of summer, and into autumn (or winter with this snow), the choices of textures, colours and layers are tenfold with this season’s wardrobe pieces. I really love pulling together a mix-match of textures but aligning them in terms of colour palette. The fall fashion colours are always so rich; you can’t go wrong with burgundy, navy blue, grey, and copper tones.
This lovely autumn-inspired outfit is from Adorn Boutique in Inglewood. When I first walked into the store I immediately saw the poncho and fell in love with the dark grey. The texture of the wool is so soft, and cozy, but the shorter sleeves give you room to layer it if necessary.
I topped it off (literally 😉 ) with a burgundy, big rimmed hat. There is something about hats this season that I just can’t get enough of. I also wore one with my last outfit I posted. You can never have too many hats, right? The suede texture, contrasts slightly with the poncho and adds a level of chic-ness to the outfit.
The Nice Things mini purse is a nice exchange from my usual massive black bag. Again, the colour fits nicely with the autumn tones, and the leather plays with the rough textures of the poncho and jeans. And it’s the perfect size for just your essentials. I wore Converse (as usual), but brown boots, or little suede booties would work really well, and probably be more weather appropriate.
