Our entire goal for this trip was to take lots of photos and eat good food. We successfully accomplished both goals quite thoroughly. One of the places we ate at was Rock and Reilly’s near Madison Square Garden. Their tag line is “an Irish pub with personality”, which I think perfectly describes it. I explained it to Kolby before we went as a fancier pub. It’s pub food and a pub atmosphere but with a classier take and more sophisticated feel. It is also huge! With multiple different sections, the restaurant spreads out across the 5th floor of the building. Their patio has a retractable roof for the warmer days, and an uncovered deck that’s open in the summer. There is also a bar on the floor above that is in the hotel lobby, another great spot with a more casual feel.

It’s the perfect spot if you’re going to a game, or if you’re just looking for a central, good food place. We walked to Times Square after which took about 10 minutes, so it is definitely a good spot for anyone in the NYC area. Plus you’re a little off of Times Square so it’s not crazy busy with tourists, and the food isn’t way over priced.

We started with a couple cocktails and as an appy with our drinks we started with the Cheese and Charcuterie Board which comes with a few different kinds of cheese and meats. A light way to ease into the evening. Kolby had a caesar salad with added shrimp for her main and I had the classic Reilly burger with a side of parmesan fries, what else do you really need in life?

If you’re in New York and looking for a classy, yet sports bar eatery, Rock and Reilly’s is your place. It really appeals to so many different crowds, everyone in your group will find something they like about it. If you’re actually in LA, they have a couple spots out on the West Coast as well, just so no one misses out on the Rock and Reilly’s experience. Check out their menu and make a reso on their website, follow along on Instagram and like them on Facebook.
